Biography
Kim Buckley is a powerful American singer-songwriter whose commanding voice and emotionally charged performances leave audiences hooked from the first note. Raised in Indian Lake, New York, Kim blends roots-driven songwriting with a dynamic live presence that works just as well in an intimate bar setting as it does on a full concert stage.
Her journey began with a guitar gifted during high school, quickly turning into a lifelong pursuit of music. Largely self-taught, Kim began writing her own songs early on and honed her craft through years of open mics and live performances—earning immediate and enthusiastic audience response. That buzz led to frequent on-stage collaborations with respected Upstate New York musicians and steady invitations to perform throughout the region.
Kim’s following grew rapidly, leading to regular bookings at clubs, bars, music venues, colleges, and universities. She later partnered with Albany-based band Soul Shock, touring and recording her independently released album Pouring Rain. Since 2005, Kim has performed extensively as a solo act and in duo format with guitarist Rob West, offering venues flexible, professional live setups.

Over the course of her 25+ year career, Kim has shared the stage with nationally recognized artists including Joan Osborne, Dar Williams, Kim Richey, Sophie B. Hawkins, Leslie Feist, and Antigone Rising. Her sound defies easy categorization—drawing from Americana, folk, rock, and soulful roots music—but one thing is consistent: a voice that captivates and lyrics that connect across generations.
Now splitting her time between the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York and Punta Gorda, Florida, Kim Buckley continues to deliver engaging, crowd-connecting performances that keep patrons listening, staying longer, and coming back.
